Description
The Ares™ Cable Attachment is a fully integrated, functional trainer and lat pull down / low row attachment that fixes to your existing PR-4000 or PR-5000 power rack. This saves major space, by bringing a ton more versatility and cable exercises inside the rack, while preserving nearly all the original functionality. The Ares™ features dual weight stacks of 260 lbs each (with an option to upgrade to 310 lbs per stack) that you can use for unilateral exercises. Or connect both stacks together for bilateral movements that demand heavier weight, like lat pull-downs. The trolleys are designed with a smooth plastic liner that’s easy to adjust up and down with one hand.
The front pulleys swivel 180 degrees for versatile movements and work outside the rack. Hot-rolled steel plates with a machined finish assure consistent and durable weights that the magnetized pin slides into smoothly. A metallic black finished shroud, with a recessed stainless steel REP logo, features laser cut windows to see the weights moving. The 2:1 ratio means 100 lbs feels like 50 lbs, ideal for functional training. The Ares™ comes with a footplate to brace against during low rows, four micro-adjustment 2.5 lbs weights, D handles, a knurled chrome lat pull-down bar and low row bar, and a connector banana. It took a friend and I most of the day to add the Ares to the previously built PR-5000. The installation was mostly smooth except one pulley was a bit tight making it a bugger to slide the bolt through. After aligning it with a screwdriver the rest of the installation was smooth. I saved a lot of time by loosening all pulleys to finger tight before installing on the rack. My friends and family are very impressed with the quality of the system and we are using it daily.
