The First Degree Vortex VX-2 Rower has a patented Fluid Technology variable resistance system that makes ingenious use of a twin-chamber tank. Water can be transferred to and from the two chambers by means of a lever or dial operation. Water in the outer chamber provides resistance to paddles when rotated by the pulling force of the user. Any water in the inner chamber “passive” chamber does not provide resistance. Thus the resistance can be varied through the water level in the outer tank and the effort of the user.

The VX-2 rower includes large transport wheels and has been designed to store in the vertical position, requiring just 55 x 70cm (22” x 30”) of floor space. With all the weight in the front end of this machine, picking it up and moving requires minimal effort and vertical storage is safe and stable. The Max user weight of the VX-2 is 450 lbs.
